HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) Martevious Young threw two second-half touchdown passes to lead Southern Miss to a 27-20 win over Marshall on Saturday night.
Southern Miss (6-4, 4-2 Conference USA) became bowl eligible for the eighth straight season and denied Marshall (5-5, 3-3) a chance at becoming bowl eligible for the first time under fourth-year coach Mark Snyder.
Marshall's DeQuan Bembry fumbled a punt early in the third quarter and Southern Miss' Jamie Collins recovered at the Marshall 39. On the next play, Young threw a TD pass to Damion Fletcher to put the Golden Eagles ahead 20-13. (MORE)
