GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) Florida star linebacker Ronald Powell could miss the season after tearing a ligament in his left knee.
Coach Will Muschamp announced the extent of Powell's injury Monday. The junior pass-rushing specialist was injured in Saturday's spring game.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Powell was originally thought to have a sprain but further tests showed that he tore his anterior cruciate ligament. He needs surgery and will require at least four to six months of recovery and rehabilitation. (MORE)
