Hawaii defeats New Mexico State 24-6

HONOLULU (AP) Bryant Moniz threw for 294 yards before leaving the game injured at the beginning of the fourth quarter as Hawaii defeated New Mexico State 24-6.

Greg Salas had a school record 16 catches for 196 yards and a touchdown.

Hawaii (4-6, 2-5 Western Athletic Conference) won its second straight game and kept its bowl hopes alive. But the Warriors will need to defeat their next three opponents - San Jose State, Navy and Wisconsin - to earn a berth. (MORE)
